I am located at Alli Roberts Salon + Spa in historic Olde Town Conyers, Georgia. The street address is 943 S Main Street NE, Conyers, GA 30012.
Parking directly in front of the salon can be tight sometimes as we only have 3 parking spots. FREE Public parking is located directly across the street on Bank St. as well as in a secondary lot just off of bank street (to the right going down the hill). You can park anywhere you find available, walk to the top of Bank street and the crosswalk will bring you directly into our parking lot.
I usually plan 3 hours for a first time haircolor appointment, but appointment time will always vary depending on the services planned for the day. If timing is a concern please reach out to me because rushing is never ideal with hair color.
Technically, no, cutting your hair will not make it grow faster. What it can do is allow your hair to grow longer in a shorter amount of time because you are eliminating split ends before they break and you lose your length.
Balayage is not the name of a look itself, it is the technique used to apply the color. In French balayage means to sweep or sweeping - in this situation - the sweeping motion used to apply lightener to create a graduated natural looking sun kissed color.
Hand Tied hair extensions are a semi-permanent hair extension that take between 60-120 minutes to be installed in the hair. I use small silicone lined beads closed ont0 your hair to create the row used to sew the hand tied extensions in. They lay flat against the head but are able to move in all directions for maximum blending and comfort. They may be placed for added fullness or fullness & length. They can be colored to match your hair color, but it is suggested not to use lightener on your extensions. If you would like more information or a personalized quote please send current photos of your hair in natural lighting as well as your desired result on the scheduling page.
This can truly vary per hair type, but once a month is usually a good start. If you are a heavy heat styler or have dry damaged hair you might do it more often than someone with virgin hair.
There are a couple of key things to do with color treated hair. A good shampoo and conditioner (and not over washing) is important to preserve the investment in your hair color. A heat protectant when using a blow dryer or hot tools. A hydrating serum will also help to keep your haircolor looking and feeling good.
Root smudging is a technique in which haircolor is applied at the root and smudged down 1”-3” to blur the line of demarcation after a highlighting service or after highlights have grown out. A root smudge is usually formulated to match your natural hair color, but can also be formulated darker. Root tapping is a technique in which haircolor is applied at the root of freshly highlighted hair and tapped 1/2” or less. Usually formulated 1-2 shades lighter than your natural color to just soften the growout, but can also be formulated darker.
